The Irem Shrine Golf Tournament was an absolute success! It was a

beautiful day with the sun shinning brightly. I had the honor to volunteer my time at Irem Temple from 8 in the morning to about 4 in the afternoon. My day started off

with meeting a former Shriners patient named Alexa where we both shared our story on how the Shriners Hospitals changed our lives for the better. Alexa was diagnosed with scoliosis where her spine was completely out od sorts. Thanks to the Shriners Hospitals, she grew 3 inches when her spine was strained out.

Both of us helped register all the golfers at the tournament. Our post soon changed when we had to go down by the course to begin cooking hot dogs. Being the "princess", I cooked and served all of the hot dogs, of course asking for donations for the Shriners Hospitals. Once all of the golfers concluded their game, we all went back to the clubhouse to have dinner. I was able to speak about how I am a success story from the Shriners Hospitals and about the purpose of the slogan "Love to the Rescue" where no child is ever turned down.
